Tuesday 10th September 7:30pm – The Alpha Course

Alpha is a great opportunity to learn about Jesus and the Bible, through the eyes of people from every walk of life. We will be joining Burghfield and Mortimer Methodists to put on an Alpha course on Tuesday evenings starting on 10th September at 19:30 in Burghfield Methodist Church. The course lasts 12 weeks, with one Saturday focusing on the Holy Spirit. Each evening starts with food (pudding) followed by a short video (mostly presented by Gemma Hunt and Toby Flint). We then get into small groups and discuss the video. Topics include “Who is Jesus?”, “Why should I read the Bible?” and many others. Alpha is a wonderful way to make friends, while coming closer to Christ.

The most important thing you can do to make Alpha a success is to invite people to come on the Alpha course – better still, bring them with you.

If you would like to know more, or if you would like to come on Alpha, please contact Don Sinclair via the parish office or on our Alpha email address: burghfieldandmortimeralpha@gmail.com. If you would like to help with Alpha (and we always need volunteers) please contact us as above.
