| Could You Swap Your Pants? |
|
|
![]() It's a strange thought, but people who switched to pants made from fairly traded cotton have helped the Agrocel cotton growers in India get access to clean water. Fairtrade Fortnight is 22nd February to 7th March 2010. This year it's The Big Swap - we're asking you to consider swapping your usual stuff for fairly traded stuff. You could swap all sorts of stuff: bananas, socks, tea, wine, coffee, breakfast cereal, chocolate, rice, oranges, footballs and of course, pants! There are now over 4,500 items on sale in the UK which carry the FairTrade mark. The Fair Trade website lists them all, and where you can buy them. And in Burghfield we'll be marking Fairtrade fortnight with a coffee morning on Wednesday March 3rd, starting at 10am in the Rectory, Hollybush Lane. You can drink fairtrade tea and coffee to your heart's content - and chat with some jolly nice people at the same time! |
